Problem
Create a safe workspace around an escalator as a training area to teach RATP's maintenance teams the right procedures.
- The escalators in the stations are maintained on a daily. The equipment is constantly changing to adjust to needs. For this purpose, maintenance teams must be trained or upgraded. These training sessions must be carried out with a high level of safety for operators.
- In order to learn under conditions as close as possible to the reality on the ground, teams must be able to access all locations to fully understand the mechanisms to be repaired or maintained . They must be able to focus on their tasks without having to worry about their own safety.
Solution
A structure surrounded by guardrails, rails and under-rails.
- Providing protection against falling from heights and allowing workers and their teams during training to get as close as possible to the areas to be understood.

Access to the bottom of this structure is via a staircase, which is also made safe and always designed on the basis of same concept as the solution itself.
