This fall prevention unit is a glider. It can be used on any part of the rope for vertical movements. It will clamp in the event of an uncontrolled fall, sliding or decent and will in extreme cases allow rappelling down the rope (while awaiting rescue). It is equipped with a voluntary locking system. Opening the device by hand lets the user remove the rope from the glider. This opening is articulated and closes with a double lock. The rope cannot come out of its housing thanks to the top latch and the lower cam that once attached to the carabiner limits travel. Part of the fall prevention system components.
